Antique Sevres-Style Porcelain and Gilt Bronze Mounted Compote

An impressive and large Sevres-style porcelain gilt bronze mounted compote. The porcelain compote vase expertly painted with a classical scene to one side and finished with a botanical painting to the reverse, against a bleu celeste, or sky blue ground that is further adorned by gilt quatrefoil patterns. The gilt bronze mounts are finely cast, above the porcelain bowl which is supported by four classical figures.
