A Victorian gypsy-set ring in 18ct yellow gold, centred with an old cushion-cut diamond of 0.21ct, securely set within a square-shaped border and held by four claws. The diamond is clean, near-colourless with a slight warmth typical of stones of the period, and displays fine brilliance. Flanking the centre are two sapphires of deep royal blue, similarly claw-set flush to the band, well-matched in hue and free of visible inclusions and weigh a combined weight of 0.73ct. The ring is further ornamented with carved shoulders, adding definition and character to the design.
