9ct Gold Carnelian & Onyx Spinning Fob Pendant

A Victorian spinning fob in 9ct yellow gold, set with an onyx and carnelian within a circular swivel mount. The frame is finely worked to achieve both durability and symmetry. The gemstones, one of deep black and the other of rich reddish-orange, provide a striking contrast, their polished surfaces accentuating the balance of colour and form. A well-preserved example of late 19th-century design and craftsmanship.
