A fine quality silver gilt castle-top vinaigrette of rectangular form with raised foliate borders and sides, the base with engine turned decoration and a rectangular cartouche, the lid with a chased and engraved view in high relief depicting Windsor castle. The silver gilt interior with finely pierced scroll grille.Windsor castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world, Founded by William the Conqueror in the 11th century, it has since been the home of 39 monarchs.
